It’s a fact. The best way to get the most out of a tropical vacation is to stay in a condo, where you can do your own cooking and are able to enjoy all of the community amenities without spending a fortune. The more guests, the better—for you, your budget, your privacy, and your memories.

Casa Chica is a gorgeous three-bedroom ground-floor unit with fantastic furnishings and awesome décor. But this is what you really want to hear: it sits directly on the ocean and every amenity you could want is steps away from your front patio.

Located within the luxurious Marazul Condominiums, a mere five minutes from downtown Cozumel, it won’t cost you a penny more to enjoy snorkeling in the calm lagoon-like waters of the Caribbean, the infinity pool that seems to empty right into the sea, the snorkeling opportunities, or outdoor shower to rinse away a day in the ocean.

Because this condo is on the ground floor, you are one of the few lucky guests who can literally open your patio doors and immediately be in the pool area, which of course is ocean facing.

Two of Casa Chica’s three bedrooms open up directly  onto the back pool area and ocean. All three expertly furnished and graciously appointed bedrooms have large and lovely private bathrooms, and there is also an extra guest half bath in the entryway.

You may fight over the master bedroom—it boasts a beautiful king-sized bed and a gigantic ensuite. So big that there’s both a Jacuzzi soaking tub and a marvelous walk-in shower. The dream of every couple is separate sinks and ample counter space, so Casa Chica was designed with that very much in mind.

Your second bedroom offers two single beds, which is completely perfect for kids, teenagers or extra guests. Both rooms have flat-screen TVs with limited  English channels (most channels are in Spanish).

The third bedroom is also worth vying for. It too has a plush king-sized bed and a cozy sitting area where you can log on to the Internet (Wi-Fi is included), read a book, or just kick back and relax. The ensuite has a very nicely designed walk-in shower and plenty of counter space.

In Cozumel, living spaces are both outdoors and indoors. Inside, the open-concept family area has unobstructed views of the large and modern kitchen, so the chef is never left out of the conversation. Sunlight streams in from the sliding glass doors that lead to the pool and ocean—a view you’re not likely to tire of. You’ll especially enjoy the roomy L-shaped couch, where you and the rest of your group can gather and share stories about the day’s adventures.

If you do manage to take your eyes off the view right outside that floor-to-ceiling window, there’s also a flat-screen TV in the main living area.

You can also choose to grab a lounge chair on your spacious deck and just watch the gentle surf, while enjoying a great home-cooked meal or a glass of wine.

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and there is certainly a lot to love about this one. Your hosts have equipped it with every appliance you could possibly need during your stay—even the little ones.

There’s a breakfast bar in the kitchen too, and a top-notch dining room with seating for eight. Your hosts have even included a washer and dryer to keep you feeling clean and comfortable.

When you’re ready for a little excitement, walk to the heart of Cozumel. The waterfront promenade is overflowing with shops, vendors, restaurants, bars, and people from around the globe.
